How To Set Up MemberTV On Samsung Smart TV

What You'll Need

2018+ Samsung Smart TVAny model running Tizen 4.0 or later (almost all modern Samsung TVs).

Step-By-Step Setup

Open Samsung Apps

From your TV home, scroll to the Apps icon (looks like four colored squares). Sign in with your Samsung account if prompted.

Search and install the player

Click the magnifying glass and search for the exact player name we send on WhatsApp. Click Install — takes 30 seconds.

Note your TV's MAC address

Open the player. Some Tizen players require activation using your TV's MAC address. The player will show it on first launch — write it down. We send activation instructions tailored to your TV model.

Activate the player (if required)

Send the MAC address to us on WhatsApp — we'll activate your device server-side in under 2 minutes.

Add your playlist

Choose Add Playlist. Enter the M3U URL we provided exactly. Save.

Wait for channel sync

The player downloads your full channel list and EPG. Tizen is slower than Android — expect 90-120 seconds the first time. Future opens are instant.

Pin favorites + start streaming

Press the colored button on your remote to mark favorites. We recommend pinning your top sports + local affiliate channels.

Troubleshooting

App is not in Samsung Apps store

Some regions have a limited Samsung App store. If you can't find the player, message us — we have a region-friendly alternative for every Samsung Tizen version.

Channels work but freeze every 60 seconds

Samsung TVs default WiFi performance is mediocre. Plug in Ethernet if you can. If not, restart the TV (full power cycle, not just standby) — that resets the network stack.

4K channels are showing in HD

Samsung Smart TVs older than 2020 cap streaming at 1080p in third-party players. The TV hardware is the limit, not MemberTV. For full 4K on older Samsungs, plug in a Firestick 4K Max and use that instead.
